Adele: "Incomplete" homunculus. Member of the Lamia.
Aile: Leader of the Rotten Eggs. See Maiza Avaro.
Begg Garotto: 1711 Immortal. Creates drugs as he seeks to bring happiness to the world.
Berga Gandor: Middle Gandor brother. Takes care of much of the family's dirty work. Immortal.
Bobby Splot: Snuck aboard the cruise liner "Entrance". He and his gang stole an expensive camera from someone on Martillo turf.
Carol: A young girl who works for the Daily Days as Gustav's assistant. Has a really nice camera.
Carnea Kaufman: Stowaway aboard the cruise liner "Entrance".
Chaini: Member of Jacuzzi's gang. "Hyaha!"
Chane Laforet: Daughter of Huey Laforet and keeper of [some of] his secrets. At a young age she had him remove her voice to show her determination. Considered a fanatic. She excels with her knives and is quite agile. Staying with Jacuzzi's gang, engaged to Claire Stanfield.
Charon Walken: Child stunt artist. Great-grandson of Chane and Claire. Younger brother to Claudia.
Christopher Chareau de Red (Shouldered): Homunculus. Member of the Lamia and supposedly its most human member. Looks like a vampire. Becomes Ricardo's bodyguard.
Claudia Walken: Child actress. Great-granddaughter of Chane and Claire. Older sister to Charon. Has Claire's "the world is mine" outlook. Their father is a successful comic artist.
Czeslaw Meyer: One of the 1711 immortals with the appearance of a child. Fears being devoured.
Claire Stanfield: AKA The Rail Tracer AKA Vino AKA Felix Walken. Circus guy turned assassin, adopted into the Gandor family as the fourth brother, childhood friend of Firo. He becomes a train conductor to reach his targets easily. Falls for Chane (embarrassingly) and meets up with her again in Manhattan - they eventually become an item. Thinks everything is part of the world he created and that if he wakes up it'll all cease to exist, therefore he doesn't care about immortality. Very perceptive, kinda crazy, really bad at proposals.
Dallas Genoard: Trash. Eve's delinquent older brother. Immortal.
Dalton Strauss: Professor at the library in Lotto Valentino along with Renee.
Death: One of four. The strongest falls first.
Denkuro: 1711 Immortal. Speaks in a very humble manner ("this one").
Dez: Mayor. And also a homunculus. When his son died, he split himself into two roles - both Dez and Felt.
Donny: Member of Jacuzzi's gang. Mexican giant of a man.

Edith: Roy's girlfriend. Works as a waitress at the Gandor's.
Elmer C. Albatross: One of the 1711 immortals. Smile Junkie. Friend of Huey.
Ennis: Homunculus created by Szilard. Firo is her master now.
Esperanza C. Boronial: "Speran". Eccentric aristocrat of Lotto Valentino.
Eve Genoard: Sweet religious baby girl looking for her brother, Dallas.
Fang Linshan: Brother to Lia. Chinese immigrant. Member of Jacuzzi's gang and assistant chef on the Flying Pussyfoot. Later becomes Eve Genoard's chef.
Felt: The mayor's son.
Firo Prochainezo: A fresh-faced, mature young man who joins the Martillo family. Childhood friend of the Gandors. Immortal.
Frank: Member of the Lamia, resembles a giant child.
Fred: Mistaken for a magician. He is a doctor.
Goose Perkins: Leader of the Lemures and follower of Huey. The guy who calls the shots. Never made it as a soldier and has something of an inferiority complex because of it; decides that the events on the train are a "test".
Graham Specter: Friend of Ladd Russo. Has violent mood swings and fights with an oversized wrench and pliers. Likes dismantling things. "Let me tell you a sad, sad story..."
Gretto Avaro: 1711 immortal. Younger brother to Maiza who gives him half of the knowledge of immortality. He is eaten by Szilard.
Gustav St. Germain: Vice President of the Daily Days newspaper.
Hilton: One of the Twins.
Hong Chi-Mei ("Chi"): Homunculus. Member of the Lamia and Christopher's "best friend".
Huey Laforet: Researcher. Chane and Liza's father. Has a thing going with immortality and experiments. He's immortal, and one of those who drank the elixer back in 1711 on the Advenna Avis. Has numerous groups of followers and connections to Nebula. His mother was accused of witchcraft and as a result of the incidents in their village, he harbors hatred for the world. He moves to Lotto Valentino where he begins making gold counterfeits, member of the Mask Makers, Monica's lover.
Illness: One of four. Wears thick eyeliner and yellow gothic clothing. Claudia befriends her when she admits that "Sharky" is cute.
Isaac Dian Half of the pair Miria and Isaac, a happy-go-lucky couple of thieves who also happen to have gained immortality.
Jacuzzi Splot: Childhood friend of Nice and leader of a gang of delinquents from Chicago. Has a sword-shaped tattoo on his face. Currently hanging out in the Genoard Manor in Manhattan as "housekeepers". Jacuzzi is a kind person and a crybaby and will do just about anything for his friends, including getting himself wanted by the Russo family for busting up a bunch of their speakeasies.
John: Member of Jacuzzi's gang. Worked as a bartender on the Flying Pussyfoot.
John Drox: Film director for "Mode Gear(s): Shark Flight". Thinks the Walken kids are perfect (which they are).
Kate: Keith's wife. A kind woman who used to play the piano score back when movies were silent.
Keith Gandor: Eldest of the Gandor brothers. A man of few words. Immortal.
Klik: Devoured by Renee.
Ladd Russo: Nephew of the leader of the Russo family. A homicidal maniac.
Lamia: Group of homunculi created by Huey Laforet.
LaRolf Hancletia: Part of the local police force(?) in Lotto Valentino.
Lebreau Fermet Viralesque: A man of many names and faces. One of the 1711 immortals from the Advenna Avis. Czes' guardian. Walking spoiler. Avoid.
Leila: Deceased. Childhood friend of Ladd Russo and Who. She and Ladd eloped, but that didn't end well.
Lemures: Followers of Huey Laforet. They're like a cross between soldiers and the mafia and first appear in uniform.
Lia Linshan: Fang's sister. Chinese immigrant. Works at the Martillo speakeasy Alveare.
Liza (Leeza) Laforet: Chane's little sister that she isn't aware of having. Both wants to kill Chane and wants to live together with Huey and Chane as a family. Is the favorite vessel of homunculous Hilton, super fiercely loyal to Huey, involved with the Lamia. Uses chakrams in battle.
Lua Klein: Ladd's fiancee.
Luck Gandor: Youngest of the Gandor brothers. Immortal.
Maiza Avaro: One of the 1711 immortals. Member of the Martillo family. Possesses knowledge of immortality and the Grand Panacea. Older brother to Gretto.
Manfred Beriam: Senator. Interested in immortality. Has ties with the Runorata family.
Maria Barcelito: Member of the Gandor family. A Mexican girl who fights with her two katana.
Maribel Boronial: Esperanza's sister. See Monica Campanella.
Mary Beriam: Daughter of the senator.
Melody: Member of Jacuzzi's gang.
Miria Harvent: Half of the pair Miria and Isaac, a happy-go-lucky couple of thieves who also happen to have gained immortality.
Misery: One of Sham's vessels.
Monica Campanella: "Half-sister" to Esperanza, Mask Maker. Huey's lover. A girl of many faces, she discarded her claim to the aristocracy after killing another noble and has been living in the patisserie in Lotto Valentino.
Natalie Beriam: Wife of the Senator and mother to Mary.
Neider Schasschule: Some loser who betrays Huey and turns him over to the feds to be put on trial. He gets left behind in an abandoned factory that serves as the Lemures headquarters. Had been planning to join the Russos on Dec. 30. with some others and had apparently been leaking info to Placido Russo (their leader)? He is "the last person Chane killed without emotion" (as of 1935).
Nice Holystone: Childhood friend of Jacuzzi, member of his gang and a bomb freak.
Nicholas: Information broker for the Daily Days newspaper.
Nick: Member of Jacuzzi's gang. Has no presence.
Nile: 1711 Immortal. Wears an elaborate mask over his face. ("I say this.")
Niki: A child laborer in Lotto Valentino. Befriends Elmer and is taken in temporarily by Speran. One of the Mask Maker's victims.
Phil: A homunculus split into five bodies, all sharing a single consciousness.
Placido Russo: Leader of the Russo family, Ladd's uncle. Devoured by Renee.
Poet, The: Member of the Lamia. Recites platitudes and can fire lasers from his eyes. Wears a hat.
President, The: The President (...) of the Daily Days newspaper. His face is never shown.
Rachel: Works for the Daily Days newspaper as an information broker. Her father used to work on the rails but was framed for something he didn't do and fell into shame. For that reason, she would stowaway on trains without buying a ticket. Changes her ways after the Flying Pussyfoot incident where she saves the Beriams and buys up tickets with the reward money.
Rail: Homunculus. Member of the Lamia, a girl covered in stitches. Another bomb freak, cannot feel pain. Looks up to Christopher.
Renée Paramedes Branvillier: Chane and Liza's mother. Immortal (pre-AA). Was Huey's teacher in the 1700's and is an employee of Nebula. Cold-hearted scientist; klutz.
Rhythm: One of Huey's groups.
Ricardo Russo: Grandson of Placido and one of the few surviving members of the Russo family. A girl disguised as a boy. She plans to revive the family.

Ronnie (Ronny) Schiatto: Demon. Secretary for the Martillo family.
Roy Maddock: A drug addict and boyfriend to Edith.
Rubik ("Sugar Cube"): Nebula Security Department; formerly with the Daily Days newspaper until ~1932 when Sham became more widely known. Has a fondness for sugar cubes.
Salomé Carpenter: Chief researcher of Rythm, one of Huey's groups. Claims to love his test subjects.
Sham: One of the Twins; he later betrays Huey.
Shaft: Follower of Graham Specter. Sham's vessel.
Sickle: Member of the Lamia. Performs a unique style of capoiera.
Spike: Member of the Lemures and one of the blacksuits. Is a good shot with a sniper rifle and prefers to attack from distant shadows. Survived falling from the Flying Pussyfoot but is now blind.
Sylvie Lumiere: Was aboard the Advenna Avis in 1711, but doesn't drink the elixer until later. Gretto's lover.
Szilard Quates: 1711 immortal seeking the knowledge of immortality and the Grand Panacea. This guy has devoured lots of people. He also created Ennis. Is later devoured by Firo.
Tack Jefferson ("Tim"): Huey (with Chane) goes looking for him in place of Claire Stanfield. The genius younger brother of Tick who hates his family and searches for happiness.
Tall: One of Bobby's gang.
Tick Jefferson: Elder brother of Tack (Tim). Sold by his clockmaker stepfather to the Gandor family, and becomes their torture specialist. Scissors are his hobby.
Time: One of Huey's groups.
Troy: One of Bobby's gang.
Upham: Member of the Lemures and one of the blacksuits. Neider tried to get him to join up with the Russos, but he helps report him to Goose and escapes the fate of the other traitors. On the train, he meets two immortals. Later shares "half" of his experiences with an information broker - or rather, an actor playing the role of a broker, in easy earshot of the playwright.
Victor Talbot: Member of the Bureau of Investigation. One of the 1711 immortals. His manner of speech is really something.
Who: Childhood friend of Ladd Russo. Goes to work at Fred's clinic.
Zank Rowan: 1711 Immortal.
